An Investigation of Social Media Addiction among Moroccan Adolescent Students

This is a quantitative study that aimed at investigating the extent to which Moroccan adolescent students are addicted social media platforms. Kimberly Young’s Internet Addiction Test was adopted and adjusted serve objective of this study. The sample consisted 200 from region Meknes. results highlighted Facebook most frequently used site among participants, while twitter least. Furthermore, when they go online, prefer communicate with family friends, entertain themselves, read about issues. To add, findings revealed only 11% participants severely media, 24 % MILD or average users, 61 were reported be moderately addicted. On other hand, test showed 3.5 not addicts. Finally, statistically significant difference proven in terms their addiction level based on educational stream. In same vein, no gender.
